Ecology of the site      -Bats

Bats are common and can be seen around the site at many locations on any still summer evening.

Bats follow the lines of hedgerows and watercourses.

Due to the ground conditions and network of ditches with both flowing and standing water the insect population is high.  Bats can be seen around the site. There is also a thriving population of swallows which spend summer in the area.

The bats in the video were watched for about 30 minutes hunting up and down the line of a shallow ditch near to the turbine site.
